Undecided, I did buy a ticket. It's really hard, because I've followed these kids all year.

If you do go prepare for an extremely dark field, the concession stands not opening until kickoff, the scoreboard to barely work (but only on your side), as well as...of course...the refs will call every single thing unknown to man on y'all.

Safe travels to any Lp fans traveling up north.

I went to the JV game yesterday. Lancaster was all over Lufkin before you could blink. Believe it was 18-0 1st qtr. They blitz the entire game and we couldn’t stop it. Also had trouble snapping the ball and couldn’t get a good punt off because of constant pressure. The team did settle down some once Kenneth Waters moved over to Qb. He had the speed and quickness to make up for the lack of protection. Broke a few long runs. Final score 40-20 Lancaster.

There was also big fight on the Lufkin sidelines. One of their players punched a Lufkin player while pushing him out of bounds. The two started going at it. And most of Lancaster bench cleared and ran over to Lufkin side to join in. Took the coaches and refs a a minute to settled everyone down. Those guys were jawing the whole time. Lufkin program will have to toughen up overall to really compete with some of these schools. Hope varsity can come and do something later. Just to shut those fans and players up.

What an intelligent and passionate coach. Man what I wouldn’t give to have him come home as the HC.

Always liked Ralph. 💪🏾

All this fighting and jawing and crap that goes on, and is allowed by some teams coaches today as an intimidation factor will be the demise of anything enjoyable about HS football in the future. You've already seen that junk at the youth league levels for years now, the parents are just as bad.  The kids are never corrected, in fact they are probable encouraged to make it all about themselves. No normal football fan like me wants to go and watch selfish athletes with low character play a game.  It's certainly hard to play if your having to decide whether to defend yourself or not.  Lufkin doesn't need to learn to be that way, they need to be above it all.  For all the great athletes Lancaster gets year after year, they have little to show for it, just for the reasons talked about above. No discipline.

Agree 100%
They were about as bad as Forney. The best way to shut a team like that up, is bust their butt on the field.

100%. It’s everywhere now days. Parents are the main reason why. People are too busy being friends with their kids rather than being their parent.

That's the reason they're not a serious contender. They're just to undisciplined. If Lufkin can keep it close the chirping will heat up and maybe they will shoot themselves with a penalty. Lancaster looked really good on film. This is going to be a really tough game.
