They have coaches that care. Sadly some don’t and they have more power than those that do. Hopefully people step down and I think a new hire won’t come from inside the program

I think they care but that doesn't mean you're not bad at your job. Green is absolutely pathetic at calling plays and scheming up a offense. Preston didn't get one deep shot tonight and he had a huge size advantage.

Terrible loss tonight! There are no excuses

Did Preston not prove himself valuable last week? Do we just not want to see the kid succeed? He had a 5’8 CB on him all night we never gave him a 1 on 1 opportunities down the field

Who is the DB coach at this point I’m convinced we are teaching our CB’s to play trail technique with no safety help ! The CB’s are getting beat the same way week to week

we are the only team that doesn’t make adjustments throughout the season

Don’t let me forget to mention the QB play is still the worst in the district!

They're left on islands. I honestly don't think they play that bad overall. It's an extremely hard position to play then with no pass rush and no safety help that's what you get.

Tyler throws the ball about 75% of the time, your thought on Panther D defending?

WR McFall is their deep threat. Tyler Soph QB Granberry is a small guy (5'7" - 150) with a big arm.

There offense is just as bad as ours. They're pretty good against the run. They do struggle in the back end a little bit. It's going to be interesting because both teams have to have this one. Lufkin is probably the slight favorite and should win it but Tyler is more then capable. I'm expecting a close game.

All it would take is to move the two quick inside recievers  to a wing position close to the tackles. Numerous option plays, sweeps, counters, and reverses could be used. Plus the power plays and sweeps with Kedron and you can bet Preston and the other big reciever would get alot of one on one coverage on the option and play action passes. You do not need a huge line to do this utilizing trap and option gap blocking

Lufkin needs to have to ability to play 21 personal 12 personal. All we ever see is 11 and 20. I've been saying going double tight to help out the offensive line. We could do other things to. Like I was saying earlier. Green needs a stud QB who can make plays off script like Kordell was doing.

Great highlights of Krisean Preston last week against McKinney North.

We really haven't seen him used much since Tyler Legacy.  I know Murphy is a great WR, and he certainly has done his part this year as a SR, a great special teams player too. What I don't understand with coaches is why do they not spread all the talent around to win games. The Panthers have at least 4 talented playmakers at WR. Murphy, Kev Taylor, Preston and Keandre Hooper.

A good OC would find a way to use all these guys every game. Just saying I would.

Because he's not a good OC. He's really bad at his job. He needs a stud QB to bail him out. Someone who can make a play when nothing is there. He doesn't do anything different. Just same bs.

  6. The problem with youth football in Lufkin is most of the parents are full of it and the coaches are more about their kid then developing all the kids. But to be fair this isn't just a Lufkin problem. Youth football is pretty crappy across the board. Lufkin really needs a select team playing kids from Houston but the parents don't want to spend the money to travel or to play. Then our HS coaches don't take middle school football serious enough. Everyone gets to play and they divide the teams up evenly. Instead of doing a true A and B team. I don't have a problem with every kid playing but put them on a true B team so they can get more playing time and development. Smallwood was the C team QB when I was in middle school. He ended up being our best QB by HS. I'm glad I'm out the youth football business. My buddy wanted me to help coach his son in flag this year. I couldn't say no fast enough.

If Young is at that  ND game ,he'  having a good time, ND has smashed USC 48-20

Im sick of college football right now. I've had 3 parlays this year bust on the final leg. I had Boise St money line last night in the final leg of a 7 leg parlay. Saw the score was 30-10 with 4 minutes left so I went bed dreaming of my money in the morning. Woke up to them losing 31-30 😢😭 😂. Football is an unforgiving game some times. This was a week after USC botched FG cost me on the O/U vs Arizona. I'm convinced I'm living in a simulation 😂.

  8. I think Preston will have a huge SR season. They won't have Kedren to hand off to 30 times a game. I imagine he will see his fair share of targets next season. How much can Jayvion grow as a passer from now until then will be key. He is a D1 caliber athlete. He at least has that going for him. Unfortunately I don't think the OC is going anywhere anytime soon. He will force his system on him instead of building around his skill set.

Longview and Forney will both beat McNorth. Trouble here is it's just like last year, all three of those team now have tie breakers on Lufkin. Lancaster only has Lufkin to play now at end of year. Even Tyler still has Lufkin, Longview and Forney in a row to play.  Hard to believe Lancaster is 2-5 and 1-3  in district. They missed an x point in OT, then Forney scored and converted XP to win. The math is there still for Lufkin. I apologize though, my confidence level is not there today.  Lufkin must win all three remaining games and probably get help from other teams to squeeze in. Just dislike everything about having to rely on such things happening.

I don't think we would need any help if we win out but the Lancaster game in Dallas seems like a longshot at this point. I think we can play with them early on but we haven't shown the ability this season to finish outside of Consolidated game. Who is have a decent season by the way. Last night really showed me that we're not nearly multiple enough on defense. No 4 or 5 man fronts. We just don't take enough chances. We need to blitz a lot more and create havoc. In a perfect world you would love to just rush 3 or 4 guys read and react defense but we struggle rushing the QB and we can't set the edge on defense. We get killed by the jet sweep and outside zone. If we could of just gotten half of those 3rd and longs and 4th down stops. I think we're having a different discussion today. Positive I can take away from this is they didn't lay down and get blown out and it was looking like that was about to happen. I don't question the kids effort. Playoffs start now for these guys. You can lose anymore or the season is over. Next up Tyler.

I,m kind of thinking in that same line as are the kids as talented as we are lead to think, or is that there are many of them just going through the motion and are just frustrated with the program in general

Yeah they really do. With a year of experience and certain teams moving up to 6A and losing key players at that. Should open the door for us next season. We have had moments this season where we look like a really good team. We just have to be more consistent.
