The girls need to start playing better non district competition. The district they are in is atrocious at volleyball and does our girls no good come playoff time. All these accomplishments for 3 years and we got beat round 2, round 2 and then round 1.

It would help if they didn’t wait until week 10 to call a half decent game. 

One thing that gets lost with all of the bytching and complaining is the fact that there were seniors who played their very last football game ever last night. So good luck to those kids with their futures. 
 

We can’t do anything about the staff so like PN said, 16 returning starters next season is a little something to look forward to. If we can put 10 games together like the one we played last night we can win a bunch of football games. 26 rushing yards from Kedren and a terrible O-line and we still almost beat Lancaster in their house. Let that sink in. That’s a team that took Guyer down to the wire, and put 35 points on Longviews defense.

I still say lots of purple kool-aid here.  I went back and read posts from earlier in the year.  We were going to have 7-3, 8-2 year.  I read our QB better than Tutt at Longview and how we are loaded with talent.   Sorry to say but without Young we probably lose 3 more games this year at least.  Next year we still have no QB that can consistently get the ball downfield to some talented receivers.  Still won’t have an OL to open any holes for a new unproven RB.  Maybe will get some move ins?   Defense will be returning lots of starters.  This year I think their talent was pretty much over estimated also.  Big Hooper did impress me though.  The big guy up front needs to play with some of his intensity and be more dominant next year.   Needs to be an everydown player instead every other or even less.   I guess long time until next season but look forward to all the posts about how we will dominate the new district.

I think I had said 6-4 at best. I just wasn’t ever convinced this staff could get us any better. I also wasn’t real familiar with the talent, because I hear so many people say that all the time and it never pans out here. I had a feeling they would have to be 2005 talented to have won anything significant with this staff.

Well now what? Wash, rinse, repeat? Despite a heroic effort last night and what I thought was above average play calling for this staff, we’re still 5-5 and sitting at home during the playoffs for the 3rd straight season. We all know what winning programs would do but that’s not us so. I guess we just hope for a lesser district next season along with what kids we have returning to make something happen.

TJ played hard and had his moments. Mostly against bad teams. He played with some of the worst lines ever so I’ll take it easy on him a little. But he definitely missed so many wide open receivers even when he had time to throw. It’s either over thrown or under thrown. Worst QB Lufkin has had since Jeffery Claybon. Starting on a 5A varsity football team at QB for basically 3 years and having no scholarships offers worth noting is a sign.

Just watching the way the O-line coach walks around bothers me. His body language just says I’m here for the paycheck. Lazy. So lazy.

Not in certain positions we don’t. There is talent absolutely. But when 5 linemen let 3 guys whoop them on multiple occasions in multiple different games, that’s embarrassing.

Lmao. The kids did play hard. I think most of us have said that at some point this season. But the leadership of LISD have let the kids down more than anybody by allowing incompetent idiots coach them. 

Lufkin just matches up well with Lancaster. I think they slept on us a little bit last season, but we were right there with them step for step two years in a row now.  

So many missed opportunities tonight. Up 7 getting the ball after half, offense does nothing. Defense got the stop on 4th down up 7, and we decide to let the least athletic skill guy on the team keep the ball and he fumbles it. 

If you told me before the game Kedren was only gonna rush for 26 yards tonight I would’ve said we are gonna lose by 35 lol
