College Station beat Consolidated last week 49-42

They do seem to be playing there best football down the stretch but 2 of those 3 wins have been against NM and WM.

Just seeing the Forney and McKinney North score let's me know we have a talented roster and can pretty much play with anyone in 5A on the right day. Forney is a legitimate top 5 team and we gave them all they wanted for much of the game. If we can get a motivated Lufkin to show up Friday I think we will make it a game. We certainly have the talent to play with them and probably a coaching advantage believe it or not. There will be some point Friday Lufkin will have to make a play to pull it off. Can they do it will be the question.

Yeah I would rather play PAM then BH and I'm sure both would wanna play us then Lancaster lol.

I think it will be interesting Friday. Lancaster doesn't play with a fast tempo. That should help us out.

We've had trouble with tempo all season. You can tell we either don't practice it or don't practice it near enough

Would love to see the ypc. I could only imagine what Kedren could have done playing behind our line. Although it probably gets him better playing behind this one. That was one knock on Jonathan Gray coming out of Aledo he was always running through open lanes and really didn't learn how to play RB.

Lane didn't get to play a lot in the 2nd half our SR season.

7 needed to stay at FS. The safety position has killed us this season. I did not like that move. We have other kids that can play OLB. Outside 7 and 17 the LBs haven't given us much. 40 is just taking up space.

I don't know what you guys are watching. Before Zion went down against Longview he was definitely causing problems. This year. Nick Saban and Kirby Smart don't offer guys just because they're big.

I wouldn't say he is better and plays harder. I like them both and Zion is still hurt. To be honest with you neither one of them have been much of a factor these last 2 games but I think they do a good job of swallowing up blocks our LBs have to play better. In a perfect world I would like to see them both at DT in an even front but I worry about the depth behind them. Even in a 4 man front we don't have DE's that are pass rushers. So I don't have a problem running a 3-4 as long as we send pressure to try to generate a pass rush.

They haven't been a bad defense. Them Stafford defenses were bad but he didn't have much to work with. I'm not going to blame missed tackles on the coaching. I think we definitely could have blitzed more this season and bounces around from an odd and even front. I see way more from that side of the ball then the offense.

I think Kedren having to play behind a bad offensive line like this will help his game more then Tatum at the next level initially. I think they're both high caliber backs and not much separates them. Both can catch the ball out the backfield and run between the tackles with home run speed

I wouldn't say they wasted Lane. He had a successful career and SR season
