  1. Do you know if Lufkin will broadcast the Duncanville game? Also that team from Arizona has the highest rated kid in the tournament. A composite 5 star. Lufkin will have their hands full tomorrow.
  2. If anybody can do it. It would be them. Just sucks to see that happen to the kid.
  3. Yeah that's a 4-6 month recovery depending on the severity. My kid broke his wrist in 8th grade trying to brace a fall playing QB. That's a nasty injury. He may not be able to go through spring football at OU.
  4. I think our district is just that good. Lonestar, Reedy and Wakeland are solid teams.
  5. Not against Reedy but with Lancaster and possibly Forney looming again they might. Any chance of them beating Aledo may have just went out the window if Tatum can't go. I hope it's just preliminary why they held him out.
  6. I think Lufkin is hosting a playoff game next week. Can't remember the teams.
  7. Some Longview fans on smokey were saying he has an upper body injury. Tough way to go out your SR season.
  8. Consolidated held on knocked off #3 Fulsear 31-19 Huntsville also won big over Austin LBJ
  9. I think that has been the most competitive district Lufkin has been in since 97 from top to bottom. When you had John Tyler, Longview, Lufkin and Marshall all ranked in the Top 10. Tyler Lee was also good that year.
  10. Halftime scores #2 Longview 31 Frisco Reedy 7 #8 Forney 12 #6 Frisco Lonestar 7 Lancaster 14 Frisco Wakeland 7 Consolidated 24 #3 Fulsear 7 That consolidated win is looking better by the week lol. In all seriousness I think Lufkin was probably better then we gave them credit for this year. This is an unreal district that's deep.
  11. Then to guess what the cutoffs will be and are all the numbers officially turned in?
  12. Ralph played baseball at Oklahoma St for a little bit. I don't think Ralph went to Southern Arkansas unless he did that after Oklahoma St? Which I guess is possible. Ok I did confirm he played at Southern Arkansas after Oklahoma St. I never knew that.
  13. I think Kurt Stephen would be a good one. He was a counselor when I was in school. Really good guy. I definitely wouldn't mind him.
  14. I've been plugging into my GPS and all the HISD schools are faster to get to at about 2 hrs for each one. New Caney Porter is the only one that's closer. Can they form a Central Texas district without College Station and Consolidated? I think they can but I'm only seeing a fraction of the picture. It's funny that I can get to Houston Milby faster then I can get to College Station. I'm not sure the UIL will have much of a choice to send us south but where? Humble ISD hasn't turned in numbers yet. So I'm not sure where Kingwood Park will go. I would not be surprised one bit if they send us to HISD with New Caney Porter if they have the openings but then you have Galveston Ball and Friends Wood. So what do you do with them. They could easily fit with HISD. The pre split has caused nothing but problems.
  15. Doing some more looking around to see what the UIL could do with us. They could easily send us to play with Houston Spring Woods and Houston Madison. It's literally about the same distance as Barbers Hill, Port Arthur, College Station. They could leave the College Station schools in Central Texas. Leave Laporte, Port Arthur,Barbers Hill,Beaumont West Brook together. New Caney Porter is dropping down and Houston HISD is going to loose some schools to 5A D2. Maybe Lufkin and New Caney Porter can fill in. A few from 9-5A haven't turned in numbers yet but just looking at it. It's seems like a possible situation. They would have to do something with Galveston Ball. I bet the UIL is going to at least look at it 9-5A currently has two teams leaving. Wisdom turned in 6A numbers and Sterling turned in 5A D2 numbers. Spring Woods turned in 5A D1 numbers dropping them from 17-6A. The rest of that district hasn't turned in any numbers yet. But with the pre split divisions it leaves little wiggle room. You can either force us into the current Port Arthur district with those teams or force us with Houston ISD. It's essentially the same distance no matter what. Going to HISD would push us to Region 3. Carl Padilla also reported that the 5A D1 and D2 split will be around 1860. That puts Huntsville really close to 5A D1.
  16. I thought Barbers Hill was the best team in that district. Tough match-up for McKinney North. Not surprised Lancaster did what they did. They will be a tough out for anyone.
  17. Yeah he's tough to listen to lol but hey it's they broadcast. Kool laid it up.
  18. Chinn maxed out at 305 on the bench. He is going to play the H-Back role full time next season. He is the best blocking back we have. Gavin will be the lead back. This could shake up if Wallace moves back to Lufkin. His dad is supposed to sit down with him and discuss the situation. Wallace finished with 565 yards on 65 carries at Grand Oaks for his sophomore campaign. That's 8.9 ypc. He can also play in the slot and QB.
  19. Funny they sent us south in basketball last realignment. Wonder if that is a clue looking forward. I just don't don't see how you can justify putting us in a Dallas district. Houston is just such an easier and shorter drive.
