The boys beat Huntsville tonight 3-0. So that puts us where PA? 16-5 (8-0)

Your spot on, they are 8-0 in district and 16-5 on the year.  I think 10 in a row now.

Lufkin has won 12 straight and 15-1 in the last 16 games with the lone loss coming to one of the best teams in Texas by 1 run. I've done a deep dive into Lufkin's schedule and all the loses have been to good teams. This is a really good team. Wonder how they compare to the team we had 2 years ago. Maybe someone that knows can break it down for me.

They are deep in good pitching with Hillis, Lindsey and Knight. Although this team does not hit the long ball much, overall they probably might hit more consistently up and down the lineup than the team 2 years ago. Lot of power hitters on that team too. This team maybe plays better defense in my opinion.  Hard for me to compare exactly.

Errors absolutely killed Lufkin tonight. You can't give up an 8 run inning and expect to beat anyone. Lufkin will be fine. They won't make that many errors again all season.

15 walks? I didn't listen to the game because I knew this one would get bad but my goodness

It was a long game, Dayton combined pitching threw at least 170 pitches in 7 innings. Whereas, Hillis at one point in the 5th inning had only thrown 48 pitches. Lufkin hitters really make the opposing pitchers work up a high pitch count.  Three timely hits by the Pack and about 4 -5 sac hits produced 9 runs.
