Amen to that. I’ll try not to be the hater this year. Again though, my hate is not directed toward these kids at all. They are a talented bunch and I’ve heard nothing but great things about them. Quite frankly I think they deserve better as far as quality of staff goes. But that’s out of my hands. Just gonna try to enjoy it the best I can and will be looking forward to any and all assessments purplenation brings to us.

I have zero doubts that PurpleNation knows what he’s talking about with this current group. He’s been around them a long time. But I just have no faith in this staff. None. I 100% believe we will lose any game that matters. They have shown me nothing to believe otherwise. These kids would have to be more talented than the 02-06 Lufkin teams to win anything significant under this staff.

I truly believe that’s not even a thought inside his head. I don’t think he cares how he leaves. Just riding the clock out and then ✌🏻. If I win some games on my way out that’s cool too. If not, 🤷🏻‍♂️

Been hearing a lot of this. Parents don’t discipline kids anymore. Let’em run wild. I know 3 volleyball kids a 2 softball kids whose parents are moving them next year due to being around the wrong crowd. Lufkin definitely has a lot of trouble makers but if kids wanna get into trouble they will find it anywhere.

Man, all of this to go 6-4 and miss the playoffs is gonna be 🔥🔥 🤣

I don’t disagree that Lufkin struggles to develop their athletes. But alot of the top players for top programs out there don’t get developed because of their school. It’s what they are doing outside of their school. More baseball and softball kids are recruited off of tournament teams than they are playing ball for a school. I know 4 kids playing D1 baseball right now that never stepped foot in a public high school. Which is HIGHLY unfortunate for the kids who don’t have parents that can afford all of that or for the ones that just don’t have the time. If I could go back in time, I would never allow my 3 kids to play a sport. They are too invested now to change that lol

I don’t remember Lufkin being stellar in track or power lifting in my high school days. (02-06).. And those are the days we all miss for this program. Maybe I’m forgetting something @PurpleNation ? Either way, there are many people out there that believe speed is what makes a good football player. That’s crazy thinking.
