Sorry, haven’t heard anything today.  Not sure if it’s the CFO resigning or the possibility of missing grant money that makes purple reign look small.  

Sounds like the UIL is just incompetent if they believed north was better then south for LP.

Lots of changes coming to LP administration, lots of resignations coming.   I expect changes in athletic program too but not for another year.  

All true, seems like someone from LP really irritated someone at the UIL. 

That is funny how in Quicks first interview a bus ride was no big deal and appeals take time and weren’t worth it.  Wonder what happened now that he says the opposite.

True, only thing that might save us would be an upset HP

Not just the fans, a 8 hour+ bus ride round trip for the teams just can’t be good either.

I agree.  They could easily do this with football and play a 5a district.  If they want more parity, they could easily split the divisions for the playoffs and just allow all teams to participate that first week.  

The UIL cares nothing about high school athletes or their fans.  There is no way they can justify a 3-4 hour one-way  bus ride for an athletic event.  If they did care, it would not be hard to sit down and develop a solution. 

I would think losing Penix to the draft was the major factor.  His accuracy has probably made Polk a lot of dollars.

Kedren Young in the American Bowl tomorrow.  I believe at noon

Wallace seems to have found his spot in 6a in Houston.  2nd team all district running back as a sophomore.  All district academic team.  Can’t see them messing with success to come back to LP.  

Bussey will probably play defensive back.   A&M new defensive back coach was there watching him last night.   Sounds like he may be wavering some on the ags.  LSU defensive back coach was also there watching him last night.  

Georgia is now what 40-1 over the last few years.  No way they cannot be considered as one of the top 4 teams in college football.  

I would agree timeout! We were 5-5 last year.  Still say we could have easily lost 3 more if not for Young.  That would have made us 2-8.   Still terrible no matter how you look at it.   Season hasn’t been over for a month and already hearing spatters of how great we could have been if this or that.     Seniors next year should give us some advantages but moving from a 5th/6th place to district champions will be tough.  Looking forward to see how the new district forms but usually LP will get screwed.  Doesn’t matter to me who we match up with in the playoffs for 1 because we seldom make it but 2 we have to beat the best to make it to the ship.
