Last week Lufkin traveled down to Galveston Ball (8-2) in a game for the district title, winning 35-21 over a very good Tornadoes team. Milby won 51-28 over Houston Spring Woods to secure the 4th place playoff spot in District 10-5A DI. Lufkin and Houston Milby have met twice in their history, in 1944 with the Panthers winning 53-0, and in 1950 with Lufkin winning 25-0.
