Lufkin (13-7, 3-2) has a rematch at Nacogdoches tonight at 6 p.m. Lufkin lost 4-1 to the Dragons in the first district game of the year. PackAttack
Lufkin stranded 12 base runners last night, this is a common issue not with just this group, but last year too. It happen often in the Wakefield series that knocked the Pack out of the playoffs last year too. It's the offensive strategy of taking so many pitches, that your just left with a 50-50 ball to hit at best. Sure, you get a few walks out of it, you add a few extra pitches to the opponents pitch count, but you also let good pitches to hit go wasted. You either trust your hitters or you don't. We don't have a Flores, Ditsworth or Rodriguez to bail us out this year with a BIG blast over the wall. Not really complaining, it's just me because I was always a 1st or 2nd strike hitter. Yes, I struck out a few more times too, but it was swinging and not taking pitches. I like to see aggressive hitting and driving in runs, its frustrating to watch folks get 2 or 3 on with no outs or 1 out, and can't get a single run across the plate. Somewhere along the way, I guess playing it either way can always have it's way of coming back to bite you. Don't mind me, Play on Panthers, just keep winning those games. LufkinPack
Yeah, that strategy is why this years team ain’t going very far. He got bailed out last year with great hitters.
LPPACK
Just how many homeruns have we hit this year?

PackAttack
NAC is our kryptonite. Down 8-1, errors errors errors. Getting thrown out at 2nd on a bloop single. What is going on? Not swinging the bats, striking out looking. They don't look good tonight. Going to the house, about to rain.

PackAttack
Lufkin Pack up 4-3 over Huntsville in the bottom of 6th inning. Panthers coming to bat. http://lufkingametime.com
PackAttack
Nacogdoches up 6-5 going in the bottom of the 7th. Hillis leads off with a HR. Lufkin should be up by 3 or 4 runs. Lufkin has runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out. We'll see what happens. The fielding errors, the baserunning errors and the miscommunication on a easy pop up to RCF and no one calls it, coach or catcher attempts to call a TO and causes Hillis to balk. Don't know are these runners are going on their own or the coaches are giving them the go signal.
PackAttack
Lufkin loses tonight at home 6-5 to Huntsville to move to 4-4 in district and 14-9 on the season. Lufkin still has not won a district game at home. Hillis led off the bottom of the 7th with a solo HR, however the Panthers were not able make plays down the stretch to pull out the win. PackAttack
Someone called me out tonight on what I posted above on LP Facebook. They ask me to reword the post above. We don't need to make the players feel bad about losing. We need to encourage and uplift players. THAT is part of the problem today ......... I can not say more. Don't understand peoples attitudes these days.

I'm not doing any of the LP Facebook or LP Twitter again after the football season is over in 2023. Depends how the team does this year whether I continue the forum or not. If things do not turn out well again, then not going to stay around to continue beating the same dead horse. I'm in a different place today in my life because of my 2022 medical adventure, so this Panther sports stuff has less importance for me now. Some things get to the point of not being worth the BS anymore. It is what it is. I deleted my social media accounts in 2013 and I’ve been much better off since I swear 🤣
