I expect great things from the team this season. There are a few position battles that will be fun to watch.

do you think the Team will be as strong and do they have pieces to replace last years pitching

They have a young man named Hillis that should be a true #1. The question mark is who is the #2? On the offensive side you can NOT replace Sam Flores but you can replace the others that graduated. Requena and Buchanan can both swing it good. Others will step up. Pitching will be key...

Lufkin baseball defeated Marble Falls 16-2 in the Seguin
Tournament, after falling 12-7 to Floresville in their first game on Thursday.
Lufkin (1-1) will compete in bracket play today at 11:30 this morning.
A win would put the Panthers in the championship game at 7:30 p.m. A loss would send the Panthers into a 4:30 game.

The Panthers closed the Seguin tournament Saturday by dropping a 5-0 decision to Victoria East before bouncing back with a 6-4 win over Floresville.
Lufkin (2-2) will open the Pete Runnels tournament at 11 a.m. Thursday when it hosts Crandall.

Lufkin baseball is scheduled to play Crandall today at 11 AM in the 1st game of the Pete Runnel's Tournament at the Lufkin Baseball Complex. Weather permitting. Hopefully lots of baseball played over the next three days. Go Panthers!
