timeout!
A lot going on Friday. I was planning on going to the football game over at Abe that night. Might have to attend the Bball game until kickoff. Didn't realize CP is ranked 19th in 6A.
PurpleNation
Lufkin leading College Park 28-19 at the half. CP having trouble with Lufkin's big guy Brandon Walker. I'm convinced the kid could had been a P5 TE. Soft hands and very skilled with back to basket.

Not sure why he decided to leave the sport. Definitely has the talent to have been a two sport star.
PackAttack
This could be one of the best teams Lufkin has had in many years, even better than last years group, although many of those same guys returned this year. Newcomer Austin Brown at 6' 6" and only a freshman will only get better. Lots of depth with this group and one of the Packs better 6' 4" players did not play last night because of a slight injury. I sure wish they had provided rosters at the game. This is a solid Panther basketball team. How did the girls game turn out?

They needed at least one more 6'4/5 guy to really fill the team out. Glad to know they have one. Was it the Parks kid?

The kid is still growing and figuring out how to use use his body. The sky is the limit for him. Glad McManus didn't goof around with him on JV for a year. Kid has the body and skill to be on varsity.

timeout!
Thanks for the links. NF playing Lufkin hard. Lufkin doesn't have a huge speed or athleticism advantage over NF like they did against CP. Great test for them early on. Austin Brown is the real deal. timeout!
Great game PACK! Wylie East has a scrappy team. They had me scared the whole game. Moody came up big with some great play down the stretch, as well as several others. Glad to see him having another nice Bball season. They mentioned Lufkin moving up to #10 in the latest polls. timeout!
The Lufkin Holiday Hoopfest begins this Thursday. I can't find any information/promotions about tournament participants or scheduled games. You would think this information would be available by now, since this is the week of. Does anyone happen to know where I can find any info about it? I would like to know in advance, so I can plan my schedule to attend some games.
