2024 Lufkin Volleyball Schedule:

The season has started.

Preseason volleyball action gets started today for area teams with Lufkin hosting a four-team scrimmage with Hudson, Huntington and Normangee beginning at 4 p.m. at Lufkin High School’s Panther Activity Center.

Today’s scrimmage in Lufkin has the Lady Panthers facing Hudson at 4:45 p.m., Normangee at 6:15 p.m. and Huntington at 7:45 p.m

Lufkin will open the season Tuesday at home with a dual match against Carthage and Huntsville. Games are scheduled for 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The Lady Panthers will play in the Tyler Invitational Thursday-Aug. 17.

Lufkin will open district play at Texas High on Aug. 27 and the first home district game is scheduled for Sept. 3 against Whitehouse.

Lufkin girls took a 27-25, 25-10, 25-15 win over Carthage in the opening match of the season here Tuesday night at Lufkin High School’s Panther Activity Center. The Lady Panthers played Huntsville in a late match Tuesday night and will play in the Tyler tournament this weekend.

Lufkin’s Lady Panthers took two of three matches on Thursday at the Tyler ISD Volleyball Invitational and won its first two on Friday.

Lufkin defeated Chapel Hill 25-12, 25-13, lost a close match to Bullard 23-25, 23-25, and defeated Pleasant Grove 25-21, 15-25, 28-26 to close out the first day.

The Lady Panthers defeated Mineola (25-21, 25-15) and Center (25-13, 25-9) in two sets each on Friday and played Jacksonville in a late match.

The Lady Panthers will close out the Tyler tournament today and will return home Tuesday to host Iola and New Waverly in a dual match.

Lufkin will host its tournament Thursday-Saturday at the Panther Activity Center.

Lufkin Volleyball advances in the first match today, with a comfortable win against Kilgore in straight sets. 25-10, 25-17. Lady Pack will took on Princeton at 11, winning 25-21, 25-18. LP will take on Carthage or Bryan Rudder in the finals.

The Jv team, competing at the Groveton Varsity tournament won all 3 games on Thursday and had advanced to the second round this morning. They were taking on the Groveton Varsity at 1 pm.

It's GAMEDAY! LPVB opens the Lufkin Volleyball Tournament today at 8:00am, again at 10:00am and 12:00pm at the PAC (both today and tomorrow). Saturday schedule TBD.

Lufkin girls have won 8 straight games in their own tourney at PAC. Playing in the championship at 6 PM.  Girls are now 18-1 on the year.

The Lady Pack go on the road to Texarkana and get the win in 4 sets over Texas High! LPVB now stands at 20-3 on the season, 1-0 in District 10-5A. The Ladies travel to the Forney Tourney this weekend before returning to the PAC next week for their home district opener.

Lady Pack Volleyball drops both matches in bracket play on Saturday in Forney. LPVB moves to 24-5 on the season. District home opener at the PAC Tuesday against Whitehouse and at home, then again against Nacogdoches on Friday.

LPVB dropped a hard fought 5 set match to Whitehouse tonight @ the PAC. Lp won first set, dropped second and third sets then came back to force a 5th set by winning the 4th! Lost the 5th 15-11.

Ladies drop to 1-1 in district and will host Nac, Friday at the PAC.

Lufkin’s Lady Panthers volleyball team took a three-set win over Nacogdoches 25-6, 25-12 and 25-9 Friday at the Panther Activity Center.

The Lady Panthers (25-6, 2-1) will play at Hallsville on Tuesday and will be back at home Friday to host Mount Pleasant.

LPVB traveled to Hallsville tonight and won a hard fought match 3-1. Hallsville won first set 25-21 and then the Lady Pack reeled off 3 consecutive wins, 26-24, 25-11 and 28-26.

They will host Mt. Pleasant Friday at the PAC!
