PackAttack
The Lufkin girls program is not as strong as the boys program, especially at the sub varsity level. Need to ask a question of some of you out there, because I don't know the answer. Are there girl basketball players going to PCA that could be playing in the Lady Pack program? I know PCA is 3A, so maybe that is not right question. Just curious.

I know PCA is 3A, so maybe that is not right question. Just curious. The middle school girls right now are horrible too. Idk what it is. Just not a lot of talent. The coaching at Lufkin MS in every sport is horrible. Some just have enough talent to still be good. I do know PCA girls are good and they have some size. So, it’s possible. I do know that if PCA started offering baseball, softball and volleyball tomorrow, my kids would be out of Lufkin. Just a lot more people feeling that way nowadays. So we very well could be losing some basketball girls to them. I know of 2 really good ones that will be leaving and going to Huntington starting high school next year. They play a lot of travel basketball currently, never did play for the middle school because the lack of coaching and competition.
LufkinPack
8 minutes ago, PackAttack said: You know the lack of good coaching at the MS is directly connected to the AD of our district, and why we have such a hard time developing kids coming to the HS programs. We frankly do not have an overall school board or Super who put a high emphasis on developing sports in this district, although it is probably the BEST life demographic teaching tool they could have in the Lufkin district. Sports teaches skills, respect, personal interaction, character, problem solving, responsibility and how to be successful. All traits that will stick with you, and will be used your whole life. I agree with you 100%. The board is literally failing their own district. They could do more. Just lazy. Idk how many guys on here have kids playing sports for the MS, but I’d like to hear their opinion on how the MS is ran. It’s been the worst 2 years of sports my daughter and her friends have had their entire lives. The worst atmosphere, and by far some of the worst coaching. 90% of the parents I’ve spoken to agree.
