Not sure how accurate Max Prep is with these results.  Looks like Lufkin girls are 6-5 headed to Flower Mound.

There is nothing local that give me any better information.

Didn't post this from Tuesday night, another big Huntsville win over Lufkin.  Both the Huntsville girls and boys basketball teams are leading the district.  Both Lufkin boys and girls teams are hanging in the middle and less than .500 district records.

Lady Panthers lost 62-31 Tuesday night.

Huntsville appears to be on the verge of a district title with a 7-0 record while Jacksonville is 5-2.

With losses to those teams, Lufkin finds itself in a third-place tie with Nacogdoches as both teams sport 3-4 district marks. The Lady Panthers would currently be the third seed in the district thanks to an earlier win over the Lady Dragons.

However, Lufkin’s playoff spot is far from secure as tonight’s opponent, Whitehouse, enters the night a game back in the standings at 2-5.

Lufkin Lady Pack can wrap up a playoff spot when it travels to face Tyler High. Lufkin enters the last week of the regular season in third place in the standings.

It can wrap up a playoff spot with a win in Tyler or a Whitehouse loss at district-leading Huntsville.

Tip-off is set for approximately 7 p.m. in Tyler.

Lufkin Lady Pack defeated Tyler High Lady Lions 60-44 last night. Lufkin leading scorers were:

Tori Coleman 13pts, Courtnee Morgan 13pts, Mallory Patel 9pts, Brookelyn Fowler 8pts and Alecia Rivera-Scott 6pts

Lady Pack are 11-11 on the season and 5-4 in district.

All Lady Pack players scored tonight. We have a chance to place 2nd in district with a win over Nacogdoches on Friday (Senior Night) & also needing a Jacksonville loss on Friday to Huntsville.

Tickets to Friday’s game vs Nacogdoches are limited to family and can be purchased through a player starting today.

Lufkin Lady Pack defeats Nacogdoches girls tonight at Panther Gym 46-30 to move to 6-4 in district play.

Leading scorers for the Panther girls, Rivera-Scott 12, Coleman 11, Morgan 10 and Fowler 8 points.

This may put the Lady Pack tied for 2nd place with Jacksonville if they lose to Huntsville tonight.  If so, there will be a playoff game next Monday or Tuesday to determine seeding for the playoffs.
