As of 2020-21, Lufkin has 4 former Panthers currently playing in the NFL.

Houston Texans’ Keke Coutee and the Baltimore Ravens’ Dez Bryant have garnered plenty of attention for strong finishes to the regular season.

Away from the spotlight, New Orleans’ center Erik McCoy and Detroit Lions’ deep snapper Don Muhlbach are still among the best at their positions in the NFL.

Each of those four players will wrap up another regular season over the weekend, while two are likely to be in the playoffs starting next week.

Playing in his third season, Coutee has set career highs in receiving yards (310) and touchdowns (3). His 27 receptions are also one shy of a career high.

He has been at his best in December where he has done the majority of his damage with 21 catches for 272 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

His best game was an eight-catch, 141-yard performance against the Indianapolis Colts. In his next game against the Colts, he had 5 catches for 53 yards and a touchdown.

In Houston’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, he had 5 receptions for 54 yards.

Meanwhile, Bryant, a former All-Pro, has proven to be a viable red zone target for the Ravens, catching touchdown passes in each of the last two games.

He hauled in an 11-yard touchdown reception in a 40-14 win over the Bengals on Dec. 20 before making an 8-yard touchdown catch in a 27-13 win over the Giants this past Sunday.

Earlier this season, he had 4 catches for 28 yards in a 30-24 win over Tennessee.

With the help of a four-game winning streak, the Ravens can guarantee themselves a playoff spot with a win in Cincinnati Sunday.

In New Orleans, McCoy is wrapping up another strong season on the Saints’ offensive line.

The former second-round draft pick and starting center for the Saints has helped lead them to another playoff spot in his second season in the league. New Orleans has wrapped up the NFC South and is guaranteed a home game in the playoffs.

In Detroit, Muhlbach is wrapping up his 17th season in the NFL, all with the Lions.
