  1. I think our must win game will be against McKinney North in a couple weeks. I can't put too much faith in us winning next week against Forney because from what I've seen from film, they might win district. And I think even with their struggles so far this year, it'll be tough to beat Lancaster at their house. So it boils down to if we can beat McKinney North to have a shot at being the 4th and final team in the playoffs.
  2. I think the game will be decided in the trenches. Longview has had a decisive advantage in the trenches over the past 5 seasons, and I'd say 2017 was the last time we were even with them. If you go position by position, I think we have a better QB, better WRs, and even as far as every other position other than the offensive line, where they have been much better than us these first 3 games. If we can contain Tatum and put them in some 3rd and long's, that'll give us our best chance. But the game will be decided with our offense and specifically our offensive line. If we can win at the line of scrimmage, on both passing and running plays, we'll give ourselves the best chance to pull the upset.
  3. i agree, but id still rather us get that 3 seed at least and face Barber's Hill.
  4. I think Johnson could be that guy, if they develop him well and put him in position to succeed with his specific skill set.
  5. I think Lufkin's roster with Longview's system and coaches would've went 8-2, and made it to the second round. Longview's roster with Lufkin's system and coaches would've went 6-4 and bounced the first round.
  6. And i believe Longview has 5 (4 Seniors and 1 Junior), and Lancaster has 9 (6 Seniors and 3 Juniors)
  7. When Alabama offers you, you know plenty more offers are on the way.
  8. I think the QB position will be predicated on the oline and wrs. If we have a dominant run blocking oline, and at least 1 reliable wideout, than TJ should be able to step in and be a solid game manager. Complete 3rd and shorts, complete deep shots when the safeties creep into the box, and don't turn the ball over. But if we have a poor oline like we have had the past couple years, then we might have to go with a more athletic QB that can make plays with his legs and run a short passing game like a RPO Style.
  9. Has everyone heard about any staff moves or are we bringing back all the same coaches from last year?
