The first round of district play came to a close Friday night with no real surprises.  Jacksonville continues to go virtually uncontested in first place, but Lufkin is still lurking just one game behind waiting for the Indian Maidens to slip up.  Hallsville improved their playoff hopes with a hard fought win over Marshall.  No report on the WH/Nac game that was crucial for both teams.  The second round of loop play will tip off on Tuesday.
